TAESE has partnered with several States over the past few years to develop and/or revise State special education forms and guidelines.

Keeping State special education forms updated and current is extremely important. Court cases and changes in federal/State regulations make it necessary for State Education Agencies (SEAs) to frequently monitor the accuracy of their special education forms. TAESE can assist in this process, including providing legal experts to review and make appropriate revisions to the forms.

Developing State guidance regarding complicated issues in special education is important for the SEA. Such guidance assists Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to implement IDEA regulations in an appropriate manner. In many cases, the SEA has developed guidelines, but they need to be updated and revised. TAESE has experts that can facilitate workgroups and develop guidelines for almost any area of special education.
