What Participants Are Saying:
"I don't even know where to start. I would have moved mountains to have this webinar available to me when I worked in primary vs. secondary (still useful). Wowza! I could have become a stronger Para in our self-contained classrooms with a better understanding."
"The most impactful moment came when the speaker shared a quote that perfectly encapsulated the core message: 'The kid who needs the most love will ask for it in the most unloving way.' This quote, which I absolutely love, served as a constant reminder that behind every meltdown, every outburst, and every seemingly 'difficult' behavior, there's a child longing for connection and understanding. It reframed the entire discussion, moving away from a focus on controlling behavior to a focus on building relationships and fostering emotional well-being."
"These webinars are amazing! I appreciate that everyone is muted, and you can only see the presenters. This cuts down on distractions. I also appreciate that the presenters are so respectful of the Paraeducators and are aware of the work they do. The slide that said 'self-care is not always easy' was very powerful to me."
"I've been working with students with autism as a teacher and now as an administrator for 18 years... and I learned something new today!"
"Thank you so much for reminding us that we play a vital role in making these learners with special education needs a contributing member of society, who needs to know how to interact and express themselves, and be independent to experience the beauty of the world."
"I am very glad that I have this training, and mostly having all of you being there for all of us Paraeducators!"
